How Do We Make These Awesome 3D Medals?
It’s pretty cool how we turn a piece of metal into your amazing 3D medals! Here’s the main idea:
- Shaping the Metal (This is often called “Casting” or “Die-Casting”):
- First, we make a special super-strong mold, kind of like a very detailed cookie cutter, that has your 3D design carved into it.
- Then, we take hot, melted metal (like a strong zinc alloy) and pour it into this mold.
- When the metal cools down and gets hard, we take it out, and ta-da! It has your 3D shape with all the cool bumps and dips. This is what makes it “3D”!
- Adding the Awesome Details:
- Once the metal shape is ready, we can make it even cooler!
- Colorful Enamel: If you want bright colors, we carefully fill in parts of your design with special, shiny enamel paints.
- Super Detailed Pictures (UV Printing): If you have a logo with lots of tiny details or even a small photograph, we use a special UV printer. It acts like a super-precise inkjet printer but for metal, and the ink dries instantly to make a strong, colorful image right on your 3D medal!
